Cutting a cake for a party can be a little intimidating, especially if you want to ensure everyone gets a piece. If you follow the cutting guides below and have discussed with me how many people you want to serve, I promise you will have enough cake and you'll look like a pro!
Cutting a Round Cake:

To cut a round cake, measure in 2 inches from the edge and cut a circle. (If your cake is very large, you may need to do this more than once.) Cut 2 inch slices around the outer circle all the way around. You may need to clean the knife numerous times to cut clean, straight slices. Once you get to the inner circle, divide it into wedges.
Cutting a Square or Rectangular Cake:

To cut a square or rectangular cake, measure 2 inch strips across the entire cake in 1 direction and then cut 2 inch slices across in the other direction. Remember to clean your knife often!
